Opis
The musical world commemorates the 250th anniversary of the death of Georg Philipp Telemann, one of the most prolific and important Baroque composers. Telemann was considered by his contemporaries to be one of the leading German composers, on a par with Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel, both of whom he knew personally. Telemann’s music incorporates several national styles, including the French and Italian, and is even influenced by Polish popular music. His music is always fresh, inventive, melodious and full of humour, wit and instrumental brilliance.
This 10 CD Collection (an “Edition Light”) contains Telemann’s most popular works, including the famous Tafelmusik, concertos for trumpet, recorder and oboe, orchestral suites and the Passion Oratorio.
Performances by excellent early music ensemble like Musica Amphion/Pieter-Jan Belder and Erik Bosgraaf and Cordevento.
